When I packed back in Toronto, not once did I think I would be doing any hiking in Cali. Also, I figured I'd buy a new pair runners there before I go, but never had the chance. Good thing I decided to go anyways... The desert trails were amazing and worth every step.

While chatting with my sister and the shutter open, we heard coyotes howling and other rustling noise in the not too far distance... We didn't stick around to find out what it was.
